Kieron Pollard calls time on international career

Kieron Pollard, the West Indian all-rounder, announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday (April 20). The 34-year-old Trinidadian made the announcement through a video message on Instagram.

Pollard, who made his international debut in 2007, has represented West Indies in 123 One-Day Internationals and 101 Twenty20 Internationals. He led his team in both formats and was also a part of the 2012 ICC T20 World Cup-winning side. He took over the reins of the limited-overs side from Jason Holder in September 2019. He also had a brief stint in charge back in 2013.

"Hi all, after careful deliberation, I have decided to retire from international cricket. It was a dream of mine to play for West Indies since I was a 10-year-old boy and I am proud to represent the West Indies for over 15 years in T20 and ODI format jsk247book of the game," Pollard announced on his official Instagram page.
