WOR VS NOT MATCH & ANALYSIS

ICC T20I World Cup is now just a few months ago and teams across the world will be gearing up for the competition. With the lack of international cricket, players will be depending heavily upon domestic cricket competitions to get some match practice and gather some form. With almost all English international players available, the focus will be on Vitality T20 Blast 2021, which is all set to begin on 9th June 2021.

The tournament will feature a total of 133 T20 matches, which is the most number of matches played in a domestic T20I tournament. Worcestershire Rapids will take on Nottinghamshire Outlaws in one of the four matches scheduled to be played on the first day of the competition. Given the historical records of the two sides, a cracker of a contest is on the cards.

Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire will meet to play their first Vitality T20 Blast match on 9th June 2021 at County Ground, New Road, Worcester.

WOR VS NOT TEAM PREVIEWS

WORCESTERSHIRE
Worcestershire Rapids' terrific run of 2018 and 2019 came to a halt last year as they finished 6th in the central group points table. The Rapids will be hoping to prove that their 2020 performance was merely a blip and will want to take off from where they left in 2019.

Last year, Worcestershire were terrible in the absence of Moeen Ali, who was arguably the reason for their superb performance in 2018 and 2019. Online Cricket Id Now that Moeen Ali is expected to be available for the complete duration of the tournament, Worcestershire would certainly stand a big chance.

Apart from Moeen Ali, the Rapids' key strength will be Pat Brown, who is known to be a remarkable death bowler in the domestic circuit. He picked up as many as 31 wickets in the 2018 season and that is the second-best tally by any bowler in any season. This season - they have signed up Ben Dwarshius and Ish Sodhi, who both are proved exponents of the shortest format of the game. A bet on Pat Brown to be the top wicket-taker for the Rapids at Parimatch seems to be quite an enticing option.

On paper, Worcestershire have an excellent amalgamation of youth and experience and that can be vital in this format of the game. However, apart from Ali, they do not have someone who can pull the team along with the bat on a consistent basis and that is one specific weakness they would want to address as early as possible.

Even though they appear to be a bit too over-reliant on Moeen Ali, the form Moeen Ali has been in would certainly boost their confidence. If the likes of Ben Cox, Ed Barnard, Moeen Ali, Ross Whiteley, and Pat Brown come good, defeating Worcestershire Rapids will be colossal of a task.

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Nottinghamshire are arguably the most consistent side in the tournament's recent history and their title finish last year is evidence enough of that. The title last year was second in four years and they'll be looking to make it three in five. Before that, however, they'll be looking to get off to a solid start so as to gather momentum quickly in this competition that can drift away rather quickly.

The Outlaws biggest strength without a doubt is the abundance of big-match players the Notts have at their disposal. Having the likes of Alex Hales, Joe Clarke, and Ben Duckett in the top-order can be very intimidating to bowl against even for world-class bowlers. Their strong and long batting order allowed them to go all guns blazing and they'll be relying heavily on their batting yet again. They have plenty of all-rounders available and that adds to their balance without taking anything away from the bowling strength.

Nottinghamshire had a rather weak bowling attack last year and with Jake Ball struggling with an injury this year, Nottinghamshire will be slightly worried. Harry Gurney is no longer available and their bowling will rest broadly on the pretty young shoulders of Zak Chappel and Lyndon James. Besides, Cricket Betting Tips the absence of Imad Wasim is certainly a big setback for them.

All in all, the Notts will need their batting to not only fire but also cover for their rather inexperienced bowling unit. They have the ammunition to do so, at least on paper, and if they are able to execute that, they should be in business.
